Our logo

Our logo incorporates symbols and colours that reflect our communities, and our values as an organisation.

The five dots in the middle symbolise clans or clan groups sitting together, each with an equal say. In a modern context, the dots symbolise organisations and people working together.

The half-circle that surrounds our logo symbolises a meeting place, where men, women and children are involved. It’s a place where people and organisations sit in partnership, working together to improve the health of our communities.

The blue water represents the river of life and embodies the importance of early intervention and prevention in improving the health of our communities.

The red dust country of our region is also reflected in our logo.

Mangrove seeds, which are common in the Cape and Torres region, have a lot of meaning. They symbolise the importance of our health ecosystem working in balance to sustain our communities.

The logo symbolises bringing people together in a safe way so that we can have better health outcomes for our people and communities. Traditional tribal values are expressed in our logo: organisations that respect one another and are working together for the long-term goal which is improving the lives of the people of our communities.
